While we invite scientific abstracts from practitioners, allied health professionals, researchers, community health workers, and Indigenous communities, we are also seeking submissions from knowledge users and advocates.
WICC 2019 is a multidisciplinary gathering of researchers, allied health professionals, advocacy groups, Indigenous Elders/Knowledge Holders, traditional practitioners and community groups, and leaders from around the world to discuss innovations and advancements in cancer research with Indigenous peoples. The theme of the WICC 2019 is ‘Respect, Reconciliation, and Reciprocity: Connecting Across Knowledge Systems’.
WICC 2019 is a collaborative partnership with the Canadian Indigenous Research Network Against Cancer and host sponsor Alberta Health Services. These events are supported by the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research – Institute of Cancer Research and the International Agency for Research on Cancer.
